Valenta 7 - FAQ
How many green beans can the Valenta 7 roast?
This roaster can do as little as 200 grams for sample roasting and up to 17 lbs. at a time. You can roast up to 42 lbs. of green coffee per hour when doing full batches.
Is the Valenta 7 fully automated?
Some parts of the roaster have the option to be automated by using the Hermetheus Co-Pilot. This device allows you to connect the roaster to your computer where you can use Artisan Scope roast profiling software to tell the roaster what profile you want to roast and the device will change the heat setting on the roaster to follow the roast curve you set for it. All you would need to do is load the beans, set the loft, click GO on your computer, and the roaster will take care of the rest until it’s time to dump the beans into the bean cooler. This device is an additional $999.
Can I finance the Valenta 7 roaster?
Yes, we will accept financing from anyone who will give you the funds to purchase this roaster. You also have the option to work with our partners at First Citizens Bank to find funds as well. They do a fantastic job of finding you the best rate and they’re terms are very favorable.

What is the power requirement for the Valenta 7 roaster?
The roaster requires Single-phase 240v at 50-amps on its own dedicated breaker. If you do not have the full power, your roaster will not get hot enough to roast full batches! The exhaust blower that comes with it will also need single-phase 230v at 20-amps.
Do I need to vent the roaster to the outside?
Yes, you will need to vent the smoke outside. Most people do this by cutting a hole in their wall and running rigid ducting through it, just like a clothes dryer.
Do I need to assemble the Valenta 7 roaster?
The roaster comes mostly assembled when delivered. There are just a few small pieces that you will need to assemble before you can use the machine, all of which can be done with common household tools.
See the roaster manual for more information: Valenta 7 Owners Manual
What else do I need to run the roaster outside of what is included with my purchase?
- There are just a few things that you will need to get on your own before you can use the roaster.
- #1. The power cord for the roaster. This will need to be a 50-amp range cord that you can easily find at your local hardware store. It can be either 3- or 4-prong depending on if you need the 4th wire for the ground.
- #2. The plug for the exhaust blower. This will need to be a 20-amp plug. These come in different styles to make sure to get the one that matches the outlet you will be plugging the blower into.
- #3. Rigid ducting. Coffee Crafters will provide enough flex ducting to connect the roaster and the bean cooler to the exhaust blower. You will need to get rigid ducting for the discharge side that is venting the smoke to the outside. You can find more information about this in the roaster manual on page 17-19.
What is the shipping cost and how long does it take to receive the roaster?
We charge a flat rate $575 shipping fee for the Valenta 7 roaster. We like to keep roasters in stock and ready to ship so it usually only takes about 2 weeks from order to delivery to addresses in the US lower 48. The longest you would have to wait is 4 weeks.

Where is the Valenta 7 coffee roaster manufactured?
Coffee Crafters roasters are manufactured and assembled at our warehouse in Post Falls, Idaho, USA. We also work with local vendors for parts that we cannot make ourselves. We are proud to put a MADE IN THE USA sticker on each roaster we make!
Does the Valenta 7 coffee roaster come with a warranty?
Yes, all new roasters come with a one-year warranty from the time of purchase. While under warranty, if any part of the roaster were to stop working or malfunction, Coffee Crafters will overnight the replacement part to you at no cost. After the one-year is up, you will still have access to replacement parts, you will just need to pay for them.
What happens if my Valenta 7 roaster breaks? Will you come fix it?
We design our roasters to be easy to work on so you will be able to do the maintenance yourself. Most of the parts are as simple as unscrewing the old part and screwing the new part in. If you have any issues, please give us a call and we would be happy to walk you through it.
Do you offer training on the Valenta 7 coffee roaster?
- Yes and no. We do not offer formal in-person training but we do have videos on our YouTube channel that will walk you through your first roast on the machine. You can also reach us with any questions you have, we’re always available to help.
- The machine is very easy to use and most people find the videos and instructions in the manual to be more than enough to get started. We know that you will feel confident after just a couple of roasts!
Do I need an afterburner for this roaster?
No, you will not need an afterburner to run this roaster unless specifically required to by your building manager, city inspector, etc. Since it is all electric, the only smoke coming from the roaster is natural smoke from the beans when being roasted and does not fall under most codes/laws for exhaust smoke.
